Last updated: April 10th 2012.
Newsflash – Update 2
This is a Pre-view of Aion 3.0 before it was out, we will soon release a review article with tips, tricks and how-to’s of Aion 3.0, written from experience.
You can start downloading 3.0, the update is 3783 MB (3.7 Gigs). The servers should be back up by: 4:00 p.m. Central Time. (23:00 CET)
Aion US, IS free to play now since the 4th of April read more here. The same goes for Aion EU, free to play. More details on games going free to play here.
Aion EU is going to a free to play model. The old (paying) members will not notice too much of a difference. New account types for the EU Aion can be found here: http://www.aionfreetoplay.com/website/featuresdetails/. The US version of the game doesn’t use separate accounts, everyone will have the same access to the game. Both Aions now also introduced a new store with items for sale. With this new store they also introduce the C.U.B.E., for information check out this video.
Updater stalling
Some people seem to have issues with the update freezing half way in, or speeds dropping dramatically to 40 KB/sec. The only solution available at this time that we know of is to close the update and restart it, this however will cause the update to restart from the beginning. (Not yet confirmed if it will run the whole update this time, but it does start downloading the update at its normal speed).
Intro
This article is written by both Quil and Zero. We have both played a lot of Aion. However, like many others, we stopped playing due to the lack of new content. We got bored. This update is, for many people, a reason to return to Aion. And that’s what makes Aion 3.0 so very important. This update is a real Make it or Break it deal between NCSoft and the players.
Since it’s release in Korea on November 9th 2012 there has been a lot of info out there on 3.0. So why this article? Well, while looking into 3.0 we found a lot of info, however, all this info was scattered around the net and there really wasn’t a single article to tell the whole story with all the info you want in one spot. The release date for Aion 3.0 is: April 11th 2012.
In Short
In short this update will consist out of:
- New level cap: 60
- New map (shared between Elyos/Asmos pvp!)
- 6 New instances
- Housing
- Mounts
- New skills
- New items
- New Armors

New Playgrounds
Aion 3.0 introduces two new maps for players level 55+. These are Sarpan and Tiamaranta.
Sarpan
The first new map is Sarpan. To gain access to Sarpan players must first be level 55 and complete a campaign quest which opens the portals located in Elian and Pernon (the housing zones), Inggison and Gelkmaros, and Sanctum and Pandaemonium. Sarpan is ruled by the Reians and both the Asmodians and the Elyos must abide in peace held by Kahrun’s binding. The main city in Sarpan, Kamar, is divided into districts for both factions. Each includes their own NPC’s.
The map above shows the City of Kamar, Sarpan (red = Asmo, blue = Elyos, violet = common).
But fear not PvP is not dead in Aion 3.0. Though much of the map is held under Kahrun’s Blinding there are two disputed areas where it does not hold. These are marked on the map below.
Sarpan: white lettering = normal mobs, orange lettering = more powerful mobs, red lettering = elite mobs for groups, and the purple lettering indicates the entrances to the disputed areas.
And the same map without all the funky mark ups :)
PVP Disputed areas of Sarpan
The Divine Floating Isles
The Divine Floating Isles, located to the northeast of Kamar, is opened by activating the Ancient Wind Path.
1. Good place to gather ingredients.
2. You can obtain additional items while gathering “Unknown Wind Objects”
3. You must have 400p in Aether Extraction and an item that enables you to gather Wind Objects.
The Discs of Combat
The Discs of Combat are located southwest of Kamar. Access is by a teleporting device – one for each faction.

1. A chest with ancient artifacts and medals.
2. Trade your PvP marks for Kahrun’s Mark. ( look here and herefor what the Marks trade for )
3. PvP quests with the objective to kill the opposing faction.
Both of these areas are PvPvE heavy on the PvP. And as with all of Aion’s contested areas, with greater risks come greater rewards. Both areas include:
- A named monster that drops powerful items.
- A chest that contains ancient artifacts and medals.
- Quests with better rewards.
- Quests that give many Kahrun’s mark
- A competitive zone that has constant battles with the other faction.
Tiamaranta
The second new area, Tiamaranta, is the stronghold of Dragon Lord Tiamat. A massive castle known as the Eye of Tiamaranta dominates the center of the map. The Eye is connected to Tiamat’s main fortress. This new area can be reached via a teleport from Kamar City in Sarpan. Both factions share headquarters at the Main Base.
This map shows the Main Base, Tiamaranta (red = Asmo, blue = Elyos, violet = common).
While much of Tiamaranta is held neutral by Kahrun’s binding, this new map also contains 5 disputed areas for PvP. On the map below the white lettering = normal mobs, orange lettering = more powerful mobs, red lettering = elite mobs for groups, and blue/purple lettering marks the disputed areas.
And we have the same map minus the all the markings again.
Tiamaranta region contains four new capturable forts and 11 new artifacts.
- The forts will become vulnerable every 3 hours.
- Whenever a location is vulnerable, a defender will appear, and the attackers must defeat this defender within 30 minutes in order to capture the location.
- If a defender cannot be defeated within 30 minutes, it disappears and the siege ends.
- Unlike in existing fortress battles, loot is not provided via the mail; successfully capturing one of these locations will allow players to claim their rewards via a short quest from an NPC that appears after the siege.
- When a location is owned by a race other than the Balaur, it will switch to Balaur possession 5 minutes before it becomes vulnerable.
- When a particular race occupies more than 2 of the 4 source areas, a passage into the Eye of Tiamaranta will appear.
- Occupying a location in Tiamaranta does not affect the race influence ratio.
- Greater Temporal Stones are needed in order to activate the artifacts.
( this info provide by the Daeva’s Report )
PVP Areas of Tiamaranta
Golden Tartar
The Golden Tartar is located inside a cave northeast DorDor’s Tree. You click a boulder near the cave entrance to enter.
Here we have PvPvE with a legendary creature to slay thrown in for kicks and giggles. Drops are tradable and eternal.
Check out the possible drops here
Abystas the Aether Essence
The Abystas the Aether Essence is located to the southwest near the Hidden Boulder Temple. To enter this cave you click on the blocking boulder.
Much as we have in the Golden Tartar we have PvPvE with a legendary creature to kill. The main drop here is a tradable Ring with some very nice stats.
Tiamat Army Camp
The Tiamat Army Camp is located inside the castle of Tiamaranta Center. There are 3 entrances in the castle walls from the East, South and West.
Eight of the eleven artifacts are located here and can used to change the tide of battle. The mobs are levels 59 and 60 with named mobs among them. Mobs drop Kahrun’s Mark as well as items. There are also high reward quests in this area.
Basement of Center of Tiamaranta
The entrance to the Basement of the Center of Tiamaranta is through the Southern Camp entrance of Tiamaranta Center. It consists of 2 levels connected by 2 winding paths and there are 2 paths that lead outside from the second floor of the basement.

The last 3 Artifacts are found here and they affect the environment within the basement. The mobs here are level 60 Elites with a Legendary Named monster thrown in for good measure. The mobs drop Karun’s Mark . Also found here is a Fountain of Fortune that drops Mithril Medals. Expect more high reward quests in this area.
Tiamaranta’s Eye
The entrance to Tiamaranta’s Eye will appear in inside the Tiamat Army Camp for the faction that holds 2 or more of the 4 forts. It is not clear to me if both races can gain access at the same time or not. The Eye is located above Tiamaranta’s Center.
The Eye contains zones made for both solo and group adventures. The mobs drop medals and ancient artifacts. The quests in this area give lots of Karun’s Marks. But, take note, you cannot kisk here, once you relog you will be teleported outside.
Check out what drops here
Instances
There will be 6 new instances. These vary in difficulty and the number of players.
Aturam Sky Fortress (solo)
Tiamat’s Balaur have powerful air troops, which they deploy either to attack the fortresses that are owned by the Daevas, or to defend the Bulwark from the Elyos or Asmodian forces that are trying to infiltrate.
It is now apparent that these troops are trained and stationed in a sky fortress located in the floating islands over Sarpan. Tiamat maintains and supplies the Dredgion from this fortress. The latest intelligence indicates that a new formulation of Surkana has been obtained from Beritra, who has the most advanced Dredgion crafting skill, in order to suppress the Elyos and Asmodian forces. Daevas responded by sending infiltration forces to shut down the sky fortress and destroy the new Surkana

Ladis Forest (Group)
Ladis Forest has been home to spirits since the beginning of time, and is the source of many of the sprits that found their way into Balaurea and Atreia.
Until recently, their power was so strong that nobody else could enter. The Balaur determined that they had more to lose than to gain by possessing this forest, so they did not try to take it over.
There are many spirits in Ladis Forest that cannot be seen in elsewhere in Atreia or Balaurea. For this, there are two main reasons. Firstly, the environment of this place is unlike any other. Secondly, a Drakan sorcerer recently breached the defenses and began experiments to try and harness the power of the spirits.
The Reian sorcerer Davlin knew that this place was the source of the spirits, and so came here to research them. She had her Golems build a mansion there, and lived and worked there successfully for a while. But Zadra, the Drakan sorcerer, craved the power both of the spirits and of Davlin’s Golems. He imprisoned Davlin, and took over her mansion and Golems. Then, he took up her research where she had left off, and hit upon the idea combining the power of the spirits and that of the Golems.
The Reians, after not hearing anything from Davlin for a while, started to worry, and they are asking their friends among the Elyos and Asmodians to find out the current status of the Reian sorcerer and to rescue her.

Rentus Base (Group)
The Reians built a secret fortress in the canyon between Tiamaranta and Sarpan in order to launch an extensive counterattack against the Balaur. They raised many troops in the secret fortress and made preparations for the fight, crafting and stockpiling weapons and armor.
Unbeknownst to them, the leader of this counterattack, Merops, was conspiring with Brigade General Vasharti, who is a lieutenant of Tiamat, and leaked information about the secret fortress. Merops opened an abyss gate allowing Vasharti’s legion to infiltrate the fortress. The Reian bravely fought against the sudden onslaught, but the Balaur were too many, and the fortress eventually fell. Numerous Reians who had been stationed in the fortress were slaughtered.
Some of the surviving Reian soldiers escaped and sought help. They are requesting fellow Reians to send reinforcements to recapture the fortress. The Balaur have placed troops on all the roads leading to the fortress, and have prepared many defensive measures in case the Reians and Daevas lead any kind of counterattack

Tahmes (Group)
Tahmes Long ago, the dragon Raksha gathered its followers and challenged Tiamat. However, it couldn’t defeat the great Dragon Lord, so Tiamat cast the rebels into a deep pit and sealed them in, posting trusted guards to the entrance.
Recently, seeing the Reians garnering more support from Elyos and Asmodian troops, Tiamat decided to resurrect Raksha and unleash it upon Tiamat’s enemies. The Reians’ excellent information network heard about this plan, and scouts were dispatched to locate Raksha’s prison. They followed some Balaur guards, and discovered the entrance to the prison. Now that the prison has been located, the Reians are asking for help from both the Elyos and the Asmodians, in order to stop the dragon’s resurrection…

Sand Lord’s Lair (alliance)
A box of highly-enriched experimental Dratamin rolled into an Earth Rift that Tiamat created. Sand bugs living underground ate the Dratamin, and began to mutate.
A small number of Drakan troops went into the Rift in order to retrieve the box, but when they learned that the sand bugs had devoured all the Dratamin, they became angry and tried to kill the creatures. But in the end, they were eaten by the Great King Bug and his minions. When the sand bugs devoured the Drakan, they absorbed the consciousness, memories, and language of the Drakan. One, who preyed on the highest-ranking Drakan, became more powerful and intelligent than all the others, and came to be known as Lord Darushitashada.

- Drop: Fabled grade shields, necklace and hats. Eternal grade necklace.

Housing
A big new feature in the new update will be player housing. Aion 3.0 creates new residential areas accessible from Heiron and Inggison for the Elyos, and from Beluslan and Gelkmaros for the Asmodians. There are 5 different types of housing. There will be a new craft skill to make some of the furniture and objects.

Aion Townhouse
The Townhouse
You can quest for your first house at level 21. When I say house, I mean sort of an apartment in an apartment building. This quest also rewards you with a skill book teaching you “Passage of Return” to access your new home. And, starting at level 21, you can bid for better housing in the auction house ( but more on that in a bit ). This basic house will only consist of 1 room ( 13×13 ) with no garden.

Level 21 quest for Townhouse
The townhouse will allow for 10 furniture slots and 2 trophy slots. A cozy place to hang your hat, socialize with friends and store your stuff. The townhouses will be limited to one per character and have no maintenance fees. We all like no maintenance fees.

Aion Basic house
The basic detached House
The basic detached house is available at auction starting at level 21. It has a cozy interior space ( 13×13 ) and a lawn area ( 25×25 ). And allows for 20 furniture slots, 4 outdoor slots and 3 trophy slots. The weekly maintenance fee for this unit is 414,512 kinah. There will be a total of only 242 units per faction per server available of this unit.
A note about the maintenance fees. If the fees are not paid, “a 1st and 2nd warnings are given. If the house maintenance fee is not paid over 2 weeks, ownership is revoked and the house is listed for auction. Some of the house’s cost is refunded to the owner.” This quote is taken directly from the patch notes .

High-end House
The High-end House
The High-end House is the next level of housing available by auction starting at level 30. It has a comfortable interior space ( 15×15 ) and a nice lawn area ( 30×32 ). This unit allows for 30 furniture slots, 6 outdoor slots and 4 trophy slots. The weekly maintenance fee for this unit is 2,487,076 kinah. There will be a total of only 157 units per faction per server available of this unit.

The Luxury House
The Luxury House
The Luxury House becomes available by auction starting at level 40. It has a generous interior space ( 20×20 ) and lawn area ( 35×39 ). This unit allows for 40 furniture slots, 8 outdoor slots and 5 trophy slots. The weekly maintenance fee for this unit is 3,730,612 kinah. There will be a total of only 4 units per faction per server available of this unit.

The Mansion
The Mansion
The Mansion is available by auction starting at level 50. It has an interior space ( 20×25 ) and a large lawn area ( 50×50 ). This unit allows for 50 furniture slots, 12 outdoor slots and 6 trophy slots. The weekly maintenance fee for this unit is 22,383,672 kinah. There will be a total of only 4 units per faction per server available of this unit.
A nice feature the Mansions, Luxury, High-end, and Basic Detached houses all have is their own private addresses and mailboxes.

The House Auction
Mansions, luxury, senior, and detached houses are available for sale through the weekly house auction. Each house type has a minimum level requirement for players to be able to bid on them and a character cannot bid on more than 2 houses at the same time. To list a house you can go to a house auctioneer, butler, or for-sale sign, from 00:00 Monday to 24:00 Friday, and list a house you own for auction. For sale signs indicate whether or not a house is for sale. Bidding is also done via a house auctioneer, butler, or sign. If during the Sunday noon (12:00) auction there is a bidder within the last 5 minutes, the auction will automatically be extended by another 5 minutes, for a maximum total up to 30 minutes.
A player may inhabit only one house per toon at any one time. If a second house is won at auction or purchased privately there is a 2-week grace period, during which, the new house cannot be used and the first house must be sold. When the existing house is sold the new house may be used immediately. At the end of the two weeks, if the existing house has not sold, ownership is revoked, and the house is automatically listed at auction. Some of the old house’s cost will be refunded and the new house becomes available for use. If a character no longer owns any houses, the basic townhouse once again is available through the townhouse manager NPC—Parline for Elyos, and Sarik for Asmodians.
Decor
The interior and exterior of your house can be furnished through the house decoration function. On the inside you can decorate the walls and floors, or place interior items. Interior and exterior items can be purchased, crafted, looted, gathered or quested for. The merchants to look for are the Residential Facility Merchant, House Manager, or a Furniture Merchant in the villages. There will also be a Shugo traveling merchant who spawns in 8 places throughout Elian and Pernon at various times. Another source of items for your household will be drops from monsters that will spawn at certain times in 4 places at Elian and Pernon.

Storage furniture allows for much needed additional storage slots. This, I predict, will be a best seller.

Wallpaper can be obtained from the recycle bins in Elian’s Silver Fountain village and Pernon’s Fountain Square village.
Poti and Pora, which fit in your trophy slots, use the catalysts acquired from your butler and give access to certain items and functions.

By using the House Exterior Change function you can choose your house’s exterior appearance. There are currently 3 optional appearances available for the Detached housing and 2 for High-end houses. Alternate exteriors for Mansions and Luxury housing will be added in the future. Beyond that you can decorate your roof, walls, frame ( of the lumber frame house ), door, yard, and fence, or place exterior items.
Privacy at home
Each house comes with a Butler and an Orb of Relation. Use your Butler to set your privacy settings and access rights and the Orb of Relation keeps a list of the addresses and privacy settings of all friends’ homes. You can use the Orb to teleport directly to your friend’s house.
Mounts
Another big new thing in Aion 3.0 is the mount system. There will be a total of 4 different types of mounts. Within these 4 versions there are a couple of sub versions. These are, I’m guessing, more rare, as they have the better speed. The mounts will have a Sprint function that activates with the R key (like we already had in wind-streams). This will work on land as well as during flight. Using sprint during flight will consume your flight time (even) faster.
Things you can do on a mount:
- Talk with NPC
- Accept/finish quests
- Buy from shops and AH
- Glide
- Fly (if mount can)
- Activate power shards
- Right-click on players to:
- Whisper
- Party
- Duel
Things you can’t do on a mount:
- Craft,
- Morph
- Gather materials
- Summon pets / spirits (since that is a skill)
- Open personal shop
- Use emotes
- Use:
- Skills
- Items
Dragon
There are 2 versions of this mount. The first one will have a movement speed increase of 105%. The second version will have a increase of 110%. Both these mounts can fly. The location/way to obtain this mount isn’t clear at this point.
Cloud
The cloud can be used by level 30 and above. The movement speed increase will be 100% and the mount can fly. Where you will be able to get this mount isn’t entirely clear yet.
Lightbike
This mount type can only be obtained through crafting ( Handcrafting 500 ). The first version (blue) of the bike is usable by level 58 and will grant a 107% speed increase. The yellow version is usable by level 60 and will increase the speed by 112%.
Whale
All versions of this mount can be bought from a NPC. The basic blue version of this mount will grant a 80% movement speed increase. The mount can be used by level 30 and higher. The Green version will grand 90% speed and is usable by level 50 and up and can fly. The purple version will grand a 100% speed increase and will be usable by level 60 and can also fly.
New skills
Each class will get about 6 new skills for the levels 56 till 60. A new feature with the skills is the repeatable skill. This skill is part of a chain. The number of times that it can be repeated in 1 combo will be listed in the chain skill list. As far as I could find we gain 1 greater stigma slot (quest lvl 58).
Gladiator
It seems that they want to turn the Gladiator into a HP vamp (that sucks lol). With this I refer to the 4 new HP absorb skills on top of the ones the gladiator already has. It seems they want the Gladiator to be more resilient by absorbing HP as he kills.
| Level | Name | Cool down | Cost | Cast time | Description | |
|
|
56 | Bloody Combo | 12 sec | 77 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 208-212 physical damage to the target. Can be repeated 2 times. 2nd skill in chain. |
| 57 | Vengeance armor | 3 min | 423 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] For 15 sec, the skill reflects 70 damage back to attacker and also absorbs a 100 as HP. | |
| 58 | Whirling block | 30 sec | 156 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] For 15 sec, parry is increased by 200. | |
| 59 | Energy cleave | 12 sec | 268 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 389-393 physical damage to the target. 2nd skill in chain. |
|
| 60 | Draining counter | 1 min | 327 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] After a successful parry, inflict 437-441 physical damage to the target with a chance to absorb 150% of damage as HP. | |
| 60 | Wave of depletion | 2 min | 109 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] Hits all enemies in the range of 7 meters for 67-71 damage and absorb 20% of it as HP. Can be repeated 3 times. 1st skill in chain. |
|
| 60 | Wave of restoration | 2 min | 327 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] Inflicts 812-816 physical damage in a 7 meter radius, 20% of damage is absorbed as HP. 2nd skill in chain. |
Sounds like a self-healing energizing bunny – perfect combo for soloing or off-tanking allowing the cleric to focus on the main tank.
Templar
It seems the Templar gets an O.K. upgrade. The first 3 skills don’t seem all that good. The Shield bash I’m not sure about it might be O.K. but we will have to see how it works out. I don’t have a high level Templar myself so I cant judge the second skill too well, it might be handy, it might not be. I think a Templar already has enough good ‘on successful block’ -skills to not need an other one. The last 3 skills are going to be very nice for the Templars. A party member (only) shield to protect against 1 attack. An AOE doomlure (nice!) and a AOE damage skill with stumble. Overall it seems like a good power-up for the Templar.
| Level | Name | Cool down | Cost | Cast time | Description | |
| 56 | Shield combo | 1 min | 103 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Shield bash, inflicts 363-367 physical damage to target. Can be repeated 3 times. 2nd skill in chain. |
|
| 57 | Courageous shield | 5 sec | 52 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] After a successful shield block – attack is increased by 20%, Crit Strike by 100, and Accuracy by 200. Lasts 10 seconds. | |
| 58 | Lower defense | 6 sec | — | 0 sec | [Stigma] Shield Block is increased by 1000, Physical Defense by 15%, resistance to Stun, Knock Backs, Stumble, Spin and Aether Hold by 1000, resistance to Immobilization and Movement Speed Reduction by 1000. Use of other skills will end effect of this skill. Cannot use jump. Requires a shield. |
|
| 59 | Armor of protection | 30 sec | 215 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Creates a shield that will last for 10 sec and has 100% chance to block up to 5000 damage of the next attack on that character. Can (only!) be cast on a party member in range of 25 meters. |
|
| 60 | Illusion Bombardment | 2 min | 218 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] Pull up to 3 targets to the player, increases their agro toward the templar while reducing their movement speed for 10 sec. | |
| 60 | Sword wind | 1 min | 327 MP | 1 sec | [Skill book] Deals 779-783 physical damage to up to 6 enemies within a 15 meter range between player and player’s target and stumble them. |
Ranger
I am not entirely sure about the Archer’s new skills. I, myself, don’t use traps, ever. (well.. hardly ever). So for me that already cuts down the new skills by 2. I’m not sure in what chain the Magical arrow is but, on a ranger any MP return is always welcome! The Venomous arrow looks great if you use it at the right time. The Scream arrow seems fairly weak to me for a stigma but Nachal’s arrow looks nice. So overall (at least for me) 3 good skills 3 useless ones.

Assassin
Since the Assassin is my favorite class I can’t wait to test out these skills! There isn’t a skill in here I would classify as ‘crap’. Best of all, assassins get an AOE! WOOHOO! So in short, we get some more dash/jumps, more stun chances, more damage on stunned/poisoned targets, a mini-general transformation, AND a ranged AOE that carves lvl 2 runes, poisons the target and slows them down. A lot of the older assassin skills will get buffed in this patch. Some skills will be usable on the move now, while others will get a (much needed) accuracy buff. I think assassins are gonna love this update!
| Level | Name | Cool down | Cost | Cast time | Description | |
| 56 | Leap of beast | 1 min | 256 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 253-258 physical damage to the target and your character leaps up to 15 meters back. Has low chance to stun the target. | |

|
| 58 | Shadow landing | 1 min | 212 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] Inflicts 938-943 physical damage to stunned target and causes it to stumble. | |
| 59 | Chainslash | 30 sec | 108 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 16-21 physical damage. If the target is poisoned or stunned, causing 373 additional damage. Can be repeated 3 times. 2nd skill in chain. |
|
| 60 | Transformation: Slayer | 3 min | 109 MP | 1 sec | [Stigma] Transforms Assassin into “Destroyer” mode for one minute. Magical resistance is increased by 250, magical accuracy by 300, HP by 3000 and mana regeneration rate is increased (it’s not said by how much). | |
| 60 | Eliminate | 1,5 min | 272 MP | 0.8 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 1032-1037 damage to up to six enemies in the range of 15 meters and carves level 2 Rune. In addition imposes poison damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds and slows movement speed. |
Spirit Master
The Spiritmaster and sorc have a new (passive) skill called ‘Magic Cancellation’. The stat (that does the same) is called: magic supression. This stat seems to be the counter of concentration (so your chance to interrupt the enemies cast). The magic explosion is a chain skill – not sure if its nice or crap. If it’s in a good chain you can remove a couple of buffs off some one and replace them with DOT‘s. The duration of fear on enemy players is going to be reduced. However, with the new skill Bind of nightmare we can root them for a additional 10 seconds. The repeat skill on the SM seems to be very interesting. It has decent damage and range on it, times 5! so will yield a nice amount of damage. Also interesting is the new ‘Spirit compression position’ which is an AOE taunt for your spirit. Combine that with ‘Elemental armor spirit’ and you have yourself a nice piece of tank.
| Level | Name | Cool down | Cost | Cast time | Description | |
| 10/22/34 /48/60 | Magic Cancellation increase | - | - | Passive | [Skill book] Increase magic cancellation | |
| 56 | Magic explosion | 24 sec | 265 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Removes one magical buff off the target, skill inflicts 724 damage and 181 damage every 3 sec for 12. 2nd skill in chain. |
|
| 57 | Bind of nightmare | 16 sec | 212 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] If the target is under “fear” state, this skill will also immobilize target for 10 sec. Range 25 meters. 2nd skill in chain. Used after Fear, Shriek and Curse. |
|
| 58 | Soul plunder | 1,5 min | 197 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] Inflicts 436 damage to the target in 25 meter range. Can be repeated 5 times. |
|
| 59 | Spirit compression position | 30 sec | 130 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Command spirit to AoE aggro enemy. | |
| 60 | Sympathetic mind | 10 sec | 406 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] For 2 minutes Spirit Master’s and Spirit’s magic boost, magic accuracy and magic cancellation (new stat) are increased by 200. | |
| 60 | Elemental armor spirit | 3 min | 480 MP | 1.5 sec | [Skill book] For 2 minutes spirit’s HP is increased by 25%. When damage is received, restored 5% of HP every 3 sec and creates a shield that blocks 20% of received damage. |
Sorcerer
Like the SM, the sorc gets the passive magic cancelation skill. The stat (that does the same) is called: magic supression. This stat seems to be the counter of concentration (so your chance to interrupt the enemies cast). On top of this the sorc also get a active buff to increase the stat even further. I’m not all that happy with the new skills for the sorc. I mean, do they really need yet an other nuke skill? They get yet more CC methods (during which the target CAN’T be attacked!). Illusion of winter sounds like a TOTAL assassin skill ripoff! Sorcs do not need a method to get out of CC. This patch might tip the balance even more towards the sorc. Only time will tell.
| Level | Name | Cool down | Cost | Cast time | Description | |
| 10 / 22 / 34 / 48 / 60 | Magic Cancellation increase | - | - | Passive | [Skill book] Increase magic cancellation | |
| 56 | Speer of wind | 1,5 min | 175 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 486 damage to the target in the range of 25 meters. Has low chance to reduce movement speed. Can be repeated 3 times. |
|
| 57 | Illusion of winter | 2 min | 100 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Teleport behind target’s back and removes immobility and speed reduction from the caster. 2nd skill in chain. |
|

| 59 | Robe of wind | 10 sec | 277 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Magical Cancellation (new stat) is increased by 300 for 30 min. | |
| 60 | Storm strike | 3 min | 958 MP | 4 sec | [Stigma] Inflicts 5895 damage to target within 25 meters. | |
| 60 | Summon Meteor | 1 min | 480 MP | 1.5 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 589 damage around caster, with low chance to knock back enemies. Can be repeated 4 times. |
Cleric
The cleric seems to get some good balanced skills between attack and healing. There are 3 skills aimed towards healing and 3 skills for attacking. By looking at the skills it seems that the healing power of a cleric will go up nicely with these heal-buff combinations. These heal-buffs can be applied ahead of time so that the effect of it procs in the fight.
| Level | Name | Cool down | Cost | Cast time | Description | |
| 56 | Torpedo attack | 12 sec | 120 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 1073 damage. 2nd skill in chain. |
|
| 57 | Curtain of life | 2 min | 338 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Restores 1554 HP. For 10 sec then damage is received there is 100% chance of creating shield that will block up to 1554 damage. | |
| 58 | Hand of salvation | 2 min | 410 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] For 1 min if target’s HP drops below 50%, it will be healed for 2770 HP. | |
| 59 | Light of purification | 0.5 sec | 106 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Removes all negative effects off the target. Range 25 meters. | |
| 60 | Authority of destruction | 10 sec | 738 MP | 0 sec | [Stigma] Magic accuracy and magic boost are increased by 200, but healing boost is reduced by 250. Also skill MP cost is increased by 10% [similar to Benevolence] | |
| 60 | Snare of judgement | 30 sec | 265 MP | 0 sec | [Skill book] Inflicts 300 and 286 damage every 3 sec for 9 sec. Also reduced movement speed. 2nd skill in chain. |
Chanter
The chanter.. is the forgotten, under-appreciated, under-powered class. Surely, they will set things right with this patch… right? uhm Wrong! The only repetitive skill you get, is a stigma. The level 60 skill, increases magic boost (huh?) magical accuracy (huh?) accuracy (ok there we go) and attack (+20%) ok so it has some use..for 2 minutes at a time. We get another weak long range skill. More stun resist stuff (oh woo-hoo…). All the attack skills seem to be weak on paper. The Annihilation stigma (which actually contains 2 skills) is a 3 times repeat skill, after which the second skill belonging to this stigma will activate: Eruption. This skill might have some potential. So, in short, the chanter gets more stun resist skills, more weak attacks, and an other temporarily buff you have to re-put on ever 2 minutes. Annihilation might hold some potential for damage.
